I have been directly and indirectly associated with Meera Centre for Music Therapy Education & Research (MCMTER) for the last several years. I have also been attending its annual conventions more than once. Meera Centre in addition to teaching Carnatic Music, is deeply involved in conducting classes for a variety of mental disorders with exceptional good results. The Centre is also seriously involved in training resource persons to conduct music therapy. This is indeed, an important step in catering music therapy for unfortunate pupils with congenital neuromuscular deficiencies. While going through the Vision Statement of the Centre, one is obliged to congratulate the persons of this centre for their programme 'Music to heal and blossom the Inner self'. The centre's projected programmes are interesting as well as challenging. I have all praise for vidushi Dr.Meenakshi Ravi Head of the Centre, who inspires every one wh comes across her.
